My calling is to serve where I can make a positive difference to other people.

I led management’s bargaining committee into labor negotiations early in my career. 

Eventually I was to became Director, Human Resources at Data General Corporation where I was a pioneer in the corporate university movement as one of the architects of Data General University.

General management and board service was my next calling.  

I was president of Executive Development Institute, Inc., a CEO continuing education firm, for nearly a decade.  My methodology for CEO peer groups became a laboratory for my sixty-month doctoral research and the design prototype of a professional development program for Chief Executives (Presidential Advisory Councils-PACs®) that continue to operate internationally.

With a track record as a human resources executive, business leader, and educator my next vocational calling was to serve Indiana Wesleyan University as a management professor.  It was gratifying to witness unprecedented enrollment growth while constructively impacting many hundreds of traditional students and perhaps thousands of adult graduate students during my seven year tenure.

Education is an industry that lends itself to innovation and technology adaptation in order to advance the teaching/learning exchange.

A college president emeritus and I incorporated Praxis Business Partners, Inc. to profitably exploit the potential of corporate eLearning and web based simulations used in higher education.  My partner had day-to-day responsibility for defining the business while I taught at the university.

My business partner retired for his last time in 1999.  I was called back into the business of education as a general manager.  I apply my policy level perspective to research, education, and learning technologies.

My passion for holistic learning and the practice of best practices in the universe of higher education and corporate training continues to be my professional motivation.

I earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in management and leadership.

My doctoral cognates are in organization development, adult continuing education, and career counseling. 

I am an accredited Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

I have interests and hobbies in many areas, most involving music, the outdoors, or precision electronics.

Family and spiritual commitments are primary in life.
